I came across an article about Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski and it mentioned she is often dubbed “the next Einstein”. It made me curious about the wiring of her mind in Human Design. Would her head and Ajna be fully defined? Or maybe she would have something else unique in her design? But before we explore her design, here is a brief summary on Sabrina so you can see why I was intrigued.
She was born in Chicago and from the age of 12-14 she built a plane from a kit and took it on a test flight. She graduated top of her class at MIT, in 3 years, with a grade point average of 5.0. She received a PHD from Harvard in physics in 2019. Her research was cited by Stephen Hawking in one of his papers.

Since her birth time is kept private, it created an interesting journey to explore the possible different designs she could have. Since we do not know the time on her day of birth , her design can vary so lets explore the possibilities. (see the charts below)
Defined Gate variance: Gate 7 Leadership or Gate 4 “The Hypothesis”; Gate 34 Power or Gate 9 “Hyper Focus”
Type
Generators and Manifesting Generators can appear to act similar. In fact, some in Human Design consider them just one type not two. Man Gens have power to the throat so they can sometimes act quicker and have a tendency to multi task. Although, that can get them into trouble with two many balls in the air. Because she had a perfect college career I might lean toward being a Generator, because maybe she did not get distracted? Yet on the other hand she raced through college in 3 years, so that might lean toward a Man Gen design.
Profile Lines
The 2nd line is designated as the Hermit and people with 2nd lines can hide. It also carries the label of the natural, having the natural ability to assimilate knowledge or experiences. Sabrina is known to keep her private life private, and with her brilliance that might tip the profile more toward the natural 2nd line, then a 3rd line.
The 3rd line is experimental and is often dubbed as a failure because initial experiments don’t always go as planned. Is her life long pursuit of understanding the Universe driven by experimentation in the profile or is it more driven by the thoughts in the mind. I don’t know if I see the zigzag pattern that often shows in a 3rd line life.
The 4th line is the networker and opportunities come through the network. Sabrina was on the wait list at MIT when 2 professors whom had seen the video of her building her plane lobbied to gain her admission to MIT. After graduating from MIT, she then went down the street to Harvard to get her PHD. She went on to work at Princeton as a fellow where Einstein worked for 20 years and Princeton Published Stephen Hawking’s The Nature of Space and Time. She got offers from Blue Origin and NASA but instead chose to work at the Perimeter Institute which she said she had more alignment with her colleagues. Seems like there might be a network theme going on here.
The 5th line is magnetic and can draw people in, but is also projected and can be hard to understand or get to know. Is it her personality that is magnetic or is it the magic of what she can do that draws people in?
Centers
One of the initial observances I made is that she has all 3 gates of the head defined. This is a thinker’s mind. Being able to have logical thoughts, abstract thoughts and then just intuit thoughts in a deep consistent way. Additionally, she has the gate 48 of depth to dig deep into things of passion. The big dilemma is whether her Throat or her mind (Head and Ajna) are defined. The argument for her Throat being defined by gate 7 is her long list of publications and before that probably hundreds of papers in High School and colleges. The Throat is all about expression and one would probably call hers prolific. Her mind becomes defined via gate 4 which is a hypothesizing energy in the channel of logic. The case for the defined mind is to imagine all those different types of thoughts, logical, abstract and just knowing and being able to be consistently analyze them in an orderly, logical way.

The other gate dilemma is between Gate 34 and Gate 9. Gate 34 is a powerful energy off of the Sacral motor. The power to do things and she has accomplished quite a lot in her 33 years. The gate 9 is hyper focus and I imagine through all her work with complex thoughts and equations hyper focus would come in handy.
In summation, I am going to guess she is a 2-4 generator with a defined mind. I think her comments about collaboration are network influenced, and a defined logical mind elevate the brilliance of her thoughts. If she is a 2-4 then that would rule out the gate 9 as that occurs after the profile change.
